On March 11, 2026, Albanian University hosted an open lecture within the framework of the “Virtual Exchange for Active Citizens, titled “Why Science Often Fails to Correct Fake News: A Neglected Aspect”, delivered by Prof. Dr. Julian Fink.
The event opened with welcoming remarks by Prof. Assoc. Aida Dama, Vice Rector of the university and project coordinator.
In his lecture, Prof. Fink addressed the challenges science faces in correcting misinformation and highlighted the role of psychological factors in shaping public beliefs.
The event attracted significant interest, bringing together over 100 participants physically present in the hall, as well as online participants from partner universities involved in the project, creating an international platform for discussion on the phenomenon of fake news and the role of science in contemporary society.
