The Faculty of Medical Sciences at Albanian University is pleased to announce the signing of a new academic and scientific cooperation agreement with Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), the Netherlands.
This strategic agreement aims to strengthen collaboration in scientific research, doctoral studies, and innovation in dentistry, creating new opportunities for: • Exchange of academic and research staff; • Mobility of PhD candidates and early-career researchers; • Development of joint international research projects; • Scientific publications in high-impact journals; • Joint applications for international research programs and funding opportunities.
A special focus of this collaboration will be the development of the project: “Guided Pterygoid Implant Surgery with Immediate Loading in Severely Atrophic Maxillae”,
an innovative initiative aimed at advancing implantology treatments for patients with severe atrophy of the upper jaw.
The Faculty of Medical Sciences expresses its sincere appreciation to the Rector of Albanian University, Prof. Dr. Julian Fink, for his continuous support in the internationalization of the university; to Associate Professor Erda Qorri for her contribution to establishing this collaboration; and to PhD Candidate Genc Zenunaj for his commitment to the implementation of the project.
This partnership represents an important step toward strengthening scientific research and enhancing the integration of Albanian University into the most prestigious European academic and research networks.
