Albanian University participated in the THE Europe Universities Summit 2026, held in Milan, Italy, from 5 to 7 May 2026. The Summit brought together university leaders, policy representatives, international organisations, and higher education stakeholders to discuss the future of European higher education and its role in the global academic landscape.
Albanian University was represented by its Rector, Prof. Dr. Julian Fink, who participated as a speaker at the Summit. His contribution formed part of a wider discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing universities today, including international cooperation, institutional leadership, innovation, quality assurance, and the development of stronger global academic networks.
Participation in this Summit is an important step in Albanian University’s broader internationalisation agenda. The University is working to strengthen cooperation not only with partner universities and university consortiums, but also with international organisations and quality assurance institutions that shape the future of higher education, including Times Higher Education, QAA, and other relevant international actors.
Through its presence in Milan, Albanian University reaffirmed its commitment to building meaningful partnerships, expanding its international visibility, and contributing actively to discussions on the future of higher education in Europe and beyond. The Summit also provided an opportunity to exchange ideas, identify potential areas of cooperation, and further position Albanian University within international academic and institutional networks.
