Albanian University, through the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Applied and Economic Sciences, continues its successful collaboration with the General Directorate of Archives (DPA) on the project “Digitalization of the Inventories of Local State Archive Funds,” now entering its fourth year.
In a joint meeting attended by representatives from the General Directorate of Archives, Mr. Armando Boçe and Mr. Armant Vogli, and from Albanian University, the Deans, Prof. Assoc. Valbona Loshi and Prof. Assoc. Valbona Ribaj, as well as Dr. Delina Xhafaj from the Research Coordination and Academic Publications Office, discussions were held regarding the initiation and implementation of the project moving forward.
The primary goal of this project is to train our students in the use of specialized software provided by DPA, engaging them in educational and research practices. This project, initiated and conceptualized by Prof. Dr. Kaliopi Naska and Prof. Assoc. Ardit Bido , offers students the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the system of enriching and utilizing informational tools at the highest level of the archival network.
In its fourth year, the focus will be on developing students’ practical and scientific skills, preparing them for future careers in the fields of archiving and information technology.
The collaboration with DPA marks a significant step forward towards a digitized and integrated future in contemporary information management systems.
